The saga between Blueface, Jaidyn Alexis and Chrisean Rock has been growing over the last few years. The situation only gets progressively toxic as time goes on. According to allmusic.com Blueface is a rapper signed to Cash Money Records and got his notoriety after producing his first album ironically titled "find the beat" in March 2020. Jaidyn Alexis met Blueface in high school, and they share two children a son and a daughter. Although they got engaged in 2023, Blueface spent a lot of time going back and forth between Jaidyn Alexis and Chrisean Rock who now also has a child with the rapper. Their drama has been broadcasted across social media platforms for the last 3 years. Just when it seems as if it would end, more drama ensues.
It wouldn't be an issue if actual legal troubles and violence were not a heavy part of the equation, but unfortunately it is a big proponent within all of their personal and professional relationships. Not to mention that children are involved. There are many opportunities for debate regarding perceptions of fame, but to what lengths do we go to make money. They have garnered lots of attention and a growing audience on social media demonstrating the effectiveness of this marketing strategy. The bad boy, bad girl imagery in the past helped to escape reality. Yet, the rise of reality tv makes for a different scenario. This is actual violence taking place in the community and then placed on display for monetary gains.
Humor is needed to debate this!
An episode of Cancel Court does a great job debating both sides of this situation with a lot of humor. Especially by demonstrating that this is not anything new. There have been many rappers in the past who lived what they rapped about openly with little consequences. It makes the argument of intervention seem irrelevant. The sad truth is we know the ending of this type of lifestyle often ends with a prison or death sentence.
