The Journey Part 7

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

I've had writer's block for the past few months and I could not overcome it with any of the tips I learned! Have you ever experienced wanting to say something, but can't? That is exactly how it felt. Now that it is over, I have a lot to tell you! So I hope you are ready!

First I want to talk about how to allow your "enemies to be your footstool". This is a biblical statement found in Matthew 22:44 and also in Mark 12:36. The first step you must take is to sit and allow God to make the enemies your footstool. Sit and get comfortable. It's not easy, I know the feelings of anger, sadness, fear and worry will try to creep in. But think of this, when you are sitting in a high place, can you not look down and see everything that is going on beneath you? When you can see clearly, you can make better decisions and make moves that will help you walk in your divine authority.

For an example, let's use an abusive relationship. Once you sit and allow your enemies to become your footstool you realize that they don't have the power to control your life. You do! You can see from the high place that they don't have power over who loves you or who doesn't. No power at all, over your finances, your dreams, your future, or your life. We give them power by stooping down to the level of the footstool. Once you have clear vision, information that you need to move forward is unlocked. For me, the information came by way of a poster in the probation office that read "domestic violence feeds on silence". From that moment, on I refused to be silent about the abuse. If I needed help, I sought it. I did not operate in this when my mind was clouded with the lies I was being told.

Remember to live your life victoriously!

It is a privilege when you can see a wolf in sheep clothing from the start. This saves you from being hurt and It assists you in moving to where you need to be. So, just sit and allow God to make your enemies your footstool so that you can live your life victoriously!
