One of the many ways that 'Battered Group Development Project' gives back is to raise money for School Supplies. For three years now we have operated this program in two parts, one it teaches children the value of working for themselves as they purchase and sell bottled water on the weekend. Secondly it teaches them to give back to their community by donating a portion of their proceeds for the school supplies. This year we purchased enough school supplies for over 40 children and collaborated with Renewing Faith Ministries, WOF to distribute the supplies to children in need. Each year we see an increase in the amount of supplies we are able to assist with as we continue to grow the awareness of domestic violence. Children are the most victorious when overcoming the obstacles of abuse!
